The Bean That Toured

The Call

It started on a phone. Mike caught Clejan at a festival — a violin doing things a violin isn’t supposed to do, classical training bent all the way into trap — and called him before the idea could cool off. Minutes in, it wasn’t a conversation anymore. It was a coffee. We named it Trapeau Arabica: the bow and the bean, one word, same swing. A 100% Arabica medium roast — caramel up front, citrus riding the top, chocolate underneath. Nuance you have to sit with. Same as his records.

The Road

This spring the bean did the thing most collabs never do: it left the shelf. Clejan ran a seven-city run — Minneapolis to Louisville, St. Louis, Nashville, Indianapolis, a hometown night at The Masquerade in Atlanta, then Tampa to close it out. Trapeau Arabica rode with him. Six bags on the merch table, next to the vinyl and the tees — coffee you could grab in the same breath as a ticket stub. That’s not product placement. That’s the collab living where the music actually lives.

The Point

Most brand partnerships end at the photo. A logo on a flyer, a post, a code, done. This one got in the van. The bean born from a single phone call spent the spring on the road with the artist whose sound it’s named after — carried to seven rooms, set on the same table where you buy the record, poured by the same hands that clap when the bow drops.

Coffee for the culture isn’t a campaign. It’s a merch box with six bags in it.

Trapeau Arabica. The tour’s over. The bean isn’t.

Stay Dope.
